In our society we are often bombarded with misleading information to avoid salt at all costs.

But is that really a good advice?

Turn out it isn’t… Keep reading to know why.

Is salt beneficial or detrimental?

Traditional doctors affirm that reducing the amount of salt reduces blood pressure and consequently the risk of heart attack.

In other words, salt was declared unnecessary and evil in 1980s.

But food industries still needed tasty food to keep their earnings high so they increased artificial flavorings in the food which is far worse than salt.

Do you want to know the real truth?

Salt is what keeps us alive, we couldn’t live without it.

This demonization could happen only in a society that is ignorant of the history of salt.

In ancient times, salt was considered the gift from the Gods. Omer referred to it as a divine substance.

Today, western people consume about half the amount of salt that they consumed traditionally.

Because back then, salt was not only used to make food tasty, it was also used to preserve food for storage and transport.

The major health organizations reduced the recommended salt intake to 3.5 grams per day. This is shocking because we need about 6 grams a day.

They give us tons of processed food full of processed salt and flavorings and we don’t eat healthy salt anymore.

This is really bad for our health. And the solution would be easy: just eat real, natural food.

Interestingly enough the Japanese who have one of the highest intake of salt in the world also have one of the highest life expectancies.

“Salt is essential for life – you cannot live without it. However, most people simply don't realize that there are enormous differences between the refined table and salt and holistic natural salt. – Dr. Mercola

“Himalayan salt is one of the purest salts you can find. It’s even typically mined by hand. On the other hand, table salt involves a great deal of unnatural interference. It is very heavily processed, eliminating its minerals.” – Dr. Axe

“Sodium is an energy carrier. It is also responsible for sending messages from the brain to muscles through the nervous system so that muscles move on command. Therefore, without sodium, you would never be able to move any part of your body.” – Dr. Sircus

Natural vs Processed Salt

Salt is essential for life – we cannot live without it.

However, because we are bombarded with misleading information, most people simply don’t realize that there are huge differences between the table salt most of us use and natural health-promoting salt.

And these differences have a major impact on your body. Indeed, if you want your body to function properly, you need holistic salt complete with all-natural elements.

Today’s common table salt is completely different from natural salt. It is a commercial salt that has been “purified”, it has been chemically cleaned.

It’s “purification” process involves recrystallization of the salt at a very high temperature. This process alters the natural structure of the crystals.

Table salt is actually 97.5% sodium chloride and 2.5% chemical garbage, such as moisture absorbents, and iodine.

It is also important to understand that iodized salt contains iodine just because it has been artificially added in.

So the typical table salt that we use today has absolutely nothing in common with the natural salt that has been used for centuries.

And that’s the reason why we are not healthy anymore.

Not because salt is bad. In fact, it’s vital.

But everything is processed and filled with chemical garbage. So always use unrefined salt if you want to stay healthy.

The purest salt on Earth

The Himalayan Pink Salt is by far the purest salt available on earth and is uncontaminated with toxins or pollutants.

The many hues of pink, red and white are an indication that this salt contains a large number of minerals.

Indeed, pink salt is 85% sodium chloride and the remaining 15% is composed of other 83 essential minerals.

Also, it is important to highlight that iodine is a natural part of this salt so it doesn’t need to be artificially added in.

Pink Salt is found naturally deep within the pristine Himalayan Mountains. It was formed about 250 millions years ago when ancient sea salt beds were covered with lava.

The salt has been kept in a pristine environment because it was surrounded by snow and ice. Also the lava is thought to have protected it from pollution and toxins.

This leads to the belief that Himalayan pink salt is the purest salt to be found on earth.
